Short answers to the things people ask most. If yours isn’t here, get in touch.
What do I need?
An iPhone, and nothing else. It records with GPS and runs the session step by step with the same audio coach the Watch uses; recording on the phone alone was built in for runners who do not have a Watch. An Apple Watch is optional: what it adds is heart rate during the run, which the phone cannot measure, and the session on your wrist instead of in your pocket. If you want ALLUNGO to read your runs and recovery data, it needs Apple Health permission.
ALLUNGO isn't seeing my runs
ALLUNGO can only read what you have allowed. Open the Health app, tap your profile picture in the top corner, then under Privacy tap Apps and choose ALLUNGO — that is where the categories it may read and write are listed. Permissions granted on the iPhone and on the Watch are separate, so it is worth checking both.
My session didn't reach my Watch
Sessions transfer when both devices are unlocked and nearby, and the ALLUNGO Watch app is installed. ALLUNGO checks all three and tells you which one is missing: if no watch is paired, if the app is not on it, or if it has not confirmed it has this week yet. For the last one, open ALLUNGO on your watch with the phone nearby.
Why did my plan change?
Because something specific happened — most often that your fitness estimate moved after a race or a time trial, so the paces on your remaining sessions were retargeted. A change ALLUNGO suggests arrives as a card with its reason on it, and nothing happens until you tap “Do it”. A few happen on their own, like a missed session being dropped: those appear as a notice you can undo rather than a card. Undo goes back one step at a time. Completed sessions always keep the paces they were run at.
Can I move a session?
Yes. Move it to the day that suits your week, and ALLUNGO keeps your change rather than putting it back.
When can I get ALLUNGO?
It is not on the App Store yet. Join the beta list on the home page and you will get one email when it opens — nothing else.
What does ALLUNGO cost?
Pricing has not been set. The beta list is the place to hear it first, and joining it costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Is ALLUNGO medical advice?
No. ALLUNGO is a training tool. It does not diagnose anything, it cannot tell you whether you are injured, and it should not be used in place of advice from a qualified professional.
